FROM SKETCH TO PROTOTYPE
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The objective of the program is to provide participants with theoretical, design, technical and practical skills experiencing the whole process of Footwear Design development up to prototyping. Candidates will have the opportunity to conceive their project with Italians footwear designer & prototype maker.
The program is designed in 8 main steps
& learning objectives:
- Footwear theory
- Concept to Sketch
- Illustration for Footwear
- Tech Pack
- Briefing to Prototypist
- Prototype Development
- Prototype follow up at the prototypist Atelier
- Footwear Portfolio
The 4-month program is as well designed to train participants to the different professional careers of the Footwear Industries in a wide spectrum of areas from creative roles up to management and technical professional profiles.
The Designs, Tech Pack and the initial prototype conceived in class will allow candidates to be provided with the contacts of shape vendor, heel factory, metal accessory, tanneries and manufacturers to further develop and produce their collection in Italy and to get an overview of the Luxury Footwear Network also to discover and evaluate new career evolutions. -
PROFILE FOR THE COURSE
The course is for individuals who have an interest in designing shoes, shoes collections, acquire the necessary skills and vocabulary of footwear prototyping for shoes production.
